So you want to know about me.

Well, I am a NC photographer living in the Wilmington area on Wrightsville Beach. I found my way South many seasons ago, after growing up and living in NY and Connecticut. North Carolina is home. Its special. 

I have a passion for my craft. It excites me. I like to shoot people, be it a wedding, portrait, family or special events. I like to do this with the least distraction and without pretention, but at the same time, having fun. Fun is important. Laughter is important. Spontaneity is encouraged.

I also like other subjects and if it sits in front of a camera I can find some purpose of art in the image. Art is everywhere and in everyone.

I enjoy cooking, but don’t do enough, many foods, Seinfeld reruns, film, yoga, biking, most physical activity, New York City, art, travel, dirt roads, Chapel Hill, Mac computers, warm weather, any beach, inquisitive kids, and a myriad of music styles.

I cherish my wife, family and friends. I have a soft spot for all animals and I think the coolest dogs are Terriers, because they have no lack of self esteem.

I like to sleep on the left side of the bed and when it’s the right side it always makes me feel like I’m on a vacation. I know that’s weird, but hey, that’s me.

A few of my favorite photographers, living and not, are Annie Leibovitz, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Chase Jarvis, Joe McNally, myself,  the kid down the street with a new camera etc. etc…... we learn from all.

If I am covering your wedding, taking your portrait or helping you with a commercial project, rest assured it will not be trendy, but timeless and will tell a story about you, the client. The foundation of trust that I feel is necessary between subject and photographer is of paramount importance. I want the energy and emotion of my images to reach out to the viewer.

The most important thing to know is that its not about me, its about you. Its always about You.

I will go anywhere within reason to photograph someone or something. All destinations are fair game. If you have an idea, we can probably make it work.

Theres no doubt more to me than what is listed here, but a little taste is enough to maybe encourage you to give me a shout. If I can’t help you I will do my best to point you in the right direction.
